Industries

Six industries.
One discipline.

Inidam's technicians work across the sectors where inspection failure is not an option. Each industry has its own standards, codes, and inspection cadence — we operate to all of them. Below is a reference to the sectors we routinely serve.

01/Aerospace

Aerospace.

Aerospace inspection demands the tightest tolerances and the most stringent certification. Inidam's aerospace radiographers and penetrant inspectors are PCN Level 3 qualified across multiple aerospace standards. We support fabricators, MRO operators, and component manufacturers with inspection programmes that meet airworthiness requirements.

Typical assets
  • ●Engine components and casings
  • ●Airframe structures and assemblies
  • ●Landing gear and actuators
  • ●Composite bonded assemblies
Inspection methods used
  • ●Radiographic Inspection (Aerospace)
  • ●Dye Penetrant Inspection (Aerospace)
  • ●Ultrasonic Inspection
  • ●Visual Inspection to aerospace standards
02/Petrochemical

Petrochemical.

Refineries, gas processing plants, and chemical facilities depend on rigorous inspection to operate safely and predictably. Inidam supports both new fabrication and in-service inspection across pressure equipment, piping, and storage assets — to API and ASME codes, on shutdowns and during operation.

Typical assets
  • ●Pressure vessels and reactors
  • ●Process piping and pipelines
  • ●Storage tanks and spheres
  • ●Heat exchangers and columns
Inspection methods used
  • ●Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (API 510, 570, 653)
  • ●Radiographic Inspection of welds
  • ●ACFM for in-service crack detection
  • ●Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant
03/Maritime

Maritime.

Marine assets operate in some of the most demanding environments on earth. Inidam delivers inspection for shipbuilders, marine engineering firms, and offshore operators — both topside and subsea-supporting, with attention to the codes and class society requirements that govern marine work.

Typical assets
  • ●Hull structures and ballast tanks
  • ●Marine engines and propulsion components
  • ●Offshore structures and risers
  • ●Mooring systems and chain
Inspection methods used
  • ●Ultrasonic Inspection of welds and plate
  • ●ACFM for topside structural welds
  • ●Magnetic Particle Inspection
  • ●Visual Inspection to class requirements
04/Fabrication

Fabrication.

Inidam works as an extension of fabricators' quality teams — providing independent inspection at every stage from material verification to final dimensional check. We're a familiar partner to fabrication shops across the UK and have built lasting relationships with the workshops that supply the country's heaviest industries.

Typical assets
  • ●Structural steelwork
  • ●Pressure equipment fabrication
  • ●Heavy machinery and assemblies
  • ●Custom industrial components
Inspection methods used
  • ●Radiographic and Ultrasonic Inspection of welds
  • ●Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant Inspection
  • ●Positive Material Identification
  • ●Visual Inspection during fabrication
05/Foundries

Foundries.

Castings carry inherent risk: internal porosity, shrinkage, inclusions, and cold shuts can compromise integrity in ways invisible to the eye. Inidam works directly with foundries and their downstream customers, providing the radiographic and surface inspection that gives castings the certification they need for high-integrity applications.

Typical assets
  • ●Ferrous and non-ferrous castings
  • ●Investment castings and forgings
  • ●High-integrity safety-critical components
  • ●Pump and valve bodies
Inspection methods used
  • ●Radiographic Inspection for internal flaws
  • ●Dye Penetrant for surface defects
  • ●Magnetic Particle Inspection
  • ●Hardness Testing and PMI
06/Infrastructure

Infrastructure.

Bridges, buildings, rail networks, and power generation assets all depend on structural inspection to assure safe operation through their service life. Inidam supports infrastructure owners, contractors, and consulting engineers with inspection programmes that combine site-based and laboratory work, often under tight access constraints.

Typical assets
  • ●Bridge and rail structural welds
  • ●Power generation pressure equipment
  • ●Building structural steel
  • ●Pipelines and utility networks
Inspection methods used
  • ●Ultrasonic Inspection of structural welds
  • ●ACFM for in-service crack detection
  • ●Magnetic Particle Inspection on site
  • ●Thickness Measurement for asset integrity
